Mandy was a treasure - a light to this world, her smile could light up a room and lift someone's spirit without her even trying.

Mandy was in her Senior year and then November 15, 2008 took her from us - that tragic car accident at 3:00 in the afternoon broke many hearts and left us to wonder why...She was to go on to Farmington college here in Maine and would have been a fantastic teacher - her biggest goal was to travel to Africa and volunteer as a teacher to help fill the teaching shortage they have there... Lifting people you don't even know was something she believed in!

I have written a blog and more information about Mandy on the www.TheKindnessRevolution.me website please go and check it out - but the short version is that We try to focus on the blessing and the gift that God gave us of letting her be with us for the 17 wonderful years she was - instead of focusing on the loss of what might have been... and we are focusing on doing good things!

We are focusing on lifting a student from Africa that we don't know - and we have not selected yet - to bring them here with a full 4-year scholarship to Farmington College so that they can return to Africa and teach thus fulfilling Mandy's dream of helping.
